New York City in the 80’s was crazy,like a windfire
Meeting Andy Warhol at the factory on Union Square,
discovering the works of Bruce Weber,
Mapplethorpe, Basquiat, Gilbert and George…at the Robert Miller Gallery…
like a violent invasion, a tidal wave of emotions surged…I realized this is ＜＜art＞＞.

IRIE

1970年に渡仏。高田賢三氏の片腕として10年間勤務する。1983年、パリ左岸、ブレオクレール通りに「IRIE」1号店をオープン。2000年より「IRIE WASH」を展開。大掛かりなショーや宣伝を一切行わず、独自のスタイルを貫く。2016年、フランス芸術文化勲章　シュバリエを受賞。

1970 Departure for France via boat and Tran Siberian train Kenzo’s assistant during 10 years with few words of French.
1983 Opening of IRIE’s shop in the left bank of the Seine,
Full of marble, absolutely in Saint Germain des Prés.
2000 new century, beginning of the new collection IRIE WASH.
And then, trying to make a different and original course,
No fashion show and no publicity, but mythological perfumes.
2016 Rewarded by French Culture Ministry as “Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres”
