幼少期から、死後の世界を思うときは、恐怖より興味が勝っていた。そのイメージは、得体のしれないものとして「夜」や「宇宙」を想起させた。
Since childhood, when I thought of the afterlife, my curiosity prevailed over my fear. The image reminded me of “night” and “space” as something enigmatic.

伊藤桂司 KEIJI ITO
1958年、東京生まれ。主に、広告、雑誌、音楽関係などの分野でグラフィック・ワーク、アートディレクション、映像を手掛ける。
2001年度東京ADC賞受賞。ロッテルダム映画祭、「Active Wire」(ソウル:Haja Center)、「CLOSE UP of JAPAN展」(ブラジル:サンパウロ美術館)、「Buzz Club-News from Japan」(ニューヨーク:P.S.1 / MoMA)、「四次元を探しに/ダリから現代へ」(諸橋近代美術館)、「KITTY EX.展」(森美術館)、 「AFTER311 (hiromiyoshii roppongi)、MBE(原宿Batsu Art Gallery、福岡Konya Galleryを巡回)、
「Art Stage Singapore 2014」(G/P galleryより出品)など数々の国内外展示に参加。個展多数。 2021年には、山梨Gallery Traxにて個展“TRANQUILO”を開催。
グラフィックワークでは、テイ・トウワ、キリンジ、木村カエラ、スチャダラパー、THE BAWDIES、PES from RIP SLYME、高野寛、ohana、オレンジペコー、ボニー・ピンク、愛知万博EXPO2005世界公式ポスター、コカコーラ・コーポレイトカレンダー、NHKの番組タイトル&セットデザイン、イギリスのクラヴェンデール・キャンペーンヴィジュアル、SoftBankキャンペーン、KEIJI ITO × graniph Collaboration他、活動は多岐に渡る。
作品集は『FUTURE DAYS』『MOTORWAY』(共に青心社)、『LA SUPER GRANDE』 (ERECT LAB.)、
『NEW WORLD』(UFB)、『DAYS OF PAST FUTURE』(Alex Besikianとの共著)他多数。

Born in 1958, Tokyo. President of Unidentified Flying Graphics. Kyoto University of The Arts, Professor of graduate school. Ito received a Tokyo ADC Award in 2001. Not only has he held numerous solo exhibits, but he also has taken part in international and domestic shows. Participated in 20th anniversary commemorative exhibition “With works of Salvador Dali and Contemporary Art – Looking for the 4th dimension” for The Morohashi Museum of Modern Art in 2019. The latest solo exhibition “TRANQUILO” at Gallery Trax (2021). His latest publication “LA SUPER GRANDE” (ERECT LAB.) & “NEW WORLD” (UFB) are now available. The artist’s interest spans to art direction and visual production as well.
